Two B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering students from KLH Aziznagar, a constituent of KL University, have won first prize in the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI & ML) domain at Global Codeverse, a 24-hour national-level hackathon held at the Global Institute of Engineering & Technology, Hyderabad. Y. Akshaya and T. Varsha, both second-year students, received a cash prize of ₹15,000 for their achievement.

The hackathon brought together participants to tackle technology-driven challenges within 24 hours. Teams drew on their programming, analytical, and problem-solving skills to develop solutions in their chosen domains.

Representing the CSE department, Akshaya and Varsha competed in the AI & ML category, applying their technical knowledge to a time-bound development challenge. Their first-place finish recognises their performance among participants at the national-level event.

The achievement reflects the value of giving students opportunities to apply classroom learning in competitive settings, where they must work through technical challenges and develop solutions under tight deadlines.

With a legacy of over 45 years in education and a ranking among the best universities in India, KL University continues to encourage practical learning and student participation in technology-driven challenges.
