On March 17th, Nintendo latched onto Twitter to announce a "high school prom" inspired event going to the game. Prom is usually a Western tradition celebrated after a school season or graduation. It usually features people dressing and gathering to bounce and celebrate.

The prom event in Animal Crossing will probably be held between April 1 and April 30. During the event, players are certain to Buy ACNH Bells and clothing, including dresses, tiaras, colorful tuxedos, and sashes. While it could well be nice with an official 'Prom Night' where players come with an excuse for up and dance, there is absolutely no news of these an affair.

The prom masks, crowns, and tiaras each have two variants. The prom sash is going to be made obtainable in seven different colors including red, black, blue, yellow, green, purple, and white. Both the prom tennis and Bubble-skirt party dress have eight vibrant colors to choose from. They can be obtained for 1200 bells and 2500 bells, respectively.

Players who would like to stand out from the bunch can select the sequin and slip dresses. Although they have a similar design, the sequin dresses are shiny and reflective whereas the slip dresses create a more elegant look. There is going to be made readily available for 2240 bells and 2600 ACNH Bells, respectively. For players who wish to showcase their inner prom king, Nintendo has included vibrant tuxedos. There is going to be available in red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, monotone, and brown and will be purchased for 2800 bells.

Lastly, decorative items such as the prom wallpaper and prom flooring will probably be available for 3000 bells each. These are going to be useful if you wish to set up your prom-themed event using your friends. Clothing and accessories can only be obtained from the Able Sisters' shop, even though the Wall and Flooring are easily obtainable in the Promotion tab of Nook Shopping. Additionally, Nintendo will likely be releasing various variations of these items through the event, so you'll want to save your bells for belongings you really want to get.
