As Autumn draws to an end, it's this type of delight to talk about this magical, misty and beautifully atmospheric November wedding along with you. Jess and Aaron got married on 28 November 2020 having a reception held afterwards at, Blaenavon, Wales. However, the pair still decided to embrace their love for the wild and natural, drawing bohemian and rustic elements directly into their day, finishing off with FeelTimes charming dress.
Gowns are extremely wonderful for just about any bride who prefers a boho, whimsical look, and Jess decided on a batwing, fully-layered, floral-embroidered design.
"My bohemian wedding dress was 'off the rack', ordered completely from the FeelTimes website and altered after with a friend's mum. When I showed family and friends everyone commented how it was very me and just how well it suited me. It also proved helpful with the themes I liked."
The couple's day was romantic throughout, having a first look between your bride and groom before the ceremony.
"Our original date was 25 October 2020 within the Lake District. This got cancelled just one week before because Wales entered a firebreak lockdown. We chose to move the marriage closer to home because of the uncertainty of the times."
The couple drove themselves towards the registry office and chose Kodaline's 'The One' to experience as Jess made her way on the aisle together with her father.
The ceremony was kept as short as possible because of Covid and didn't include any readings, however, they did exchange beautiful, personal rings.
The couple were lucky enough to get have a pre-pandemic holiday in Japan, that is where they got engaged.
"We lived within the same village and met as teenagers via a mutual friend. Not long afterwards, we started our relationship. Thirteen years on, Aaron proposed our long-awaited visit to Japan in Kamikochi. One year later, I was married. I just like a natural feel to things and just like a boho/rustic theme. I got lots of inspiration from Pinterest. I also joined several groups on Facebook."
The bridesmaid dresses seemed to be inspired by autumn, a deep russet-red, halter-neck design.
The couple's talented family made this exquisite, tiered cake.
"My sister, using the help of my buddy, made my cake! It would be a two-tier, naked sponge cake with cream and fruit filling. It was gorgeous. Cake toppers were 'just married' bunting from and peg dolls of me and Aaron from, with flowers through the florist on the wood slice."
Words of Wedded Wisdom
"Don't take into account what you can't change. My motto became, 'What is going to be, is going to be'. Despite restrictions, we still had an incredible day. We kept it simply family so as not to need to pick and choose which friends could come. If you'd still prefer to celebrate with everyone who couldn't come, possess a big party after we are within the clear."
