The upside, is RS3 has going for it up to cheap OSRS Gold endgame goes, and the street getting there is much smoother compared to old school rs. Microtransactions have entered Runescape as you can essentially purchase your way to 99/120 in this way that trivializes training abilities. If microtransactions receive your platelegs / skirt in a spin, you could always play with Ironman mode where there's no choice for buying your way to a 99, but you also can't trade players. Overall the sole reason I do not play with school, is because I've sunk nearly 10,000 hours in this match today. I really don't feel like doing it just for the nostalgia.
Take a look at 2007 Runescape - your accounts progress will still be on runescape 3 though, you can perform a variation from back in the afternoon (with a lot of added updates by now, however same core gamplay and images ) everyone made a new start on 2007scape servers. This would be the runescape how you recall it, if you're looking for engaging pve content I'd totally have a look at RS3.
Why The Chosen Commander is arguably the best pursuit in RuneScape
I had the honour of re-playing some quests within DXP weekend largely for better agility coaching, and I chose to do the Throne Room for a while I recall it being among my favourite Agility training spots believe it or not. I had yet to do the pursuit. I realized why I hadn't. I have a weird attachment obviously, Zanik is my favourite character that says a lot since Guthix is a complete Boss dude, and I would still roll with Zanik prior to him. I had started a number of the quests, but it was The Chosen Commander quest that nearly made me cry again just like it did years ago.
Spoilers ahead if you're new to RuneScape and have yet to do this particular storyline, just do it I guarantee you won't regret it, you'll probably cry though, sorry. The Chosen Commander is the next to last of the Goblin Quest storyline Thus Far. I adored The Mighty Fall too, but it was I loved the connection she has with all the player and The Chosen Commander that reminded my why I love Zanik as a personality. In this storyline, you are after the reduction of Zanik to the mysterious box on Yu'biusk. There is apparently a poisoning from town, and it ends up being caused by a merchant Walton, a H.A.M agent who infiltrated town.
Halfway through apprehending this non life, you find a portal site, and out pops Zanik PogChamp, and she can help you apprehend the man. Eventually, you go to the council and they have to turn him over to Runescape gold authorities that are Misthain that -understandably- upsets Zanik. She storms out and you go to find and console her. At precisely the exact same time, they are taking the H.A.M representative back to the surface. He gets sniped with a sterile of Zanik and she ends up eluding the towns' police. It leads you to locate her at the caves south of town.
