Runescape publisher Jagex's publishing arm has picked up a promising indie release for it's Jagex Partners label, which makes Melvor Idle an indie now. The idler title, similar to Buy RS Gold games such as Clicker Heroes or Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms, released on Steam in the year before and wears its influences from Jagex's mainstay Runescape very proudly.
Melvor Idle is a detailed multi-track idle game which is a bid to reinvent "the fundamental elements in the RuneScape franchise in a manner so that they can be enjoyed in a casual manner," says the publisher. It's a very high-quality idle game which offers a wide range of options to design and develop, as well as an emphasis on zero prestige mechanics requiring a game restart.
Jagex was reportedly aware of this project as early as 2020. It appears that a good portion of the publisher's staff liked it before the officially Steam launch in the month of October that year. As you can imagine that the developer is content to work with the developers for one of their favourite games. "Being working together with Jagex in direct collaboration on the game has been a dream come true," said Brendan Malcolm who is the sole developer of Melvor Idle Studio Games by Malcs.
Malcolm posted a lengthy Q&A for the game's Reddit community, making clear that he will maintain total creative control moving forward along with ensuring that the single purchase monetization model wouldn't be altered. Jagex, he said, was the only company with "no desire" to change anything in rs gold cheapest Melvor Idle. The publishing agreement will have Jagex handle the localisation, marketing, technical support, and QA of Melvor Idle.
