What's the downside?

Roger Goodell is awful. Seriously Mut 23 coins. For one, as Bobby Big Wheel pointed out Tuesday, it's absurd that it didn't find superior replacement officials a long time ago. Even if many college officials were unwilling to split ranks, Madden NFL 23 could have been more proactive in getting decent replacements through this process. The second reason is that a lot of people blamed the lockout on the owners their greed. BULLSHIT. The Commissioner may work with them, but a large part of his responsibility is to balance their interests with those of the entire Madden NFL 23. Goodell totally ignores the most difficult task facing any Commissioner, and we're supposed to pretend it's not their fault? If owners ran pro sports we'd have lockouts across the board in every 5 years. What makes a great commissioner is the power to satisfy an excessive greed and yet protect the game while at the same time.

 America is obsessed with football. We were all watching regardless. Football is so prevalent in all our fall activities that nobody wanted to stop watching, with or without refs who had no clue what they were doing. Instead of a boycott, we watched in record numbers , only to be we gathered in displeasure. This is why Goodell and the owners thought the Madden NFL 23 could afford to continue to run for some time with an unfinished product.

The other hand ...

America does not mean bullshit. In sports, at least. Second, there was a game that definitely swung the wrong direction because of poor officiating. The protest was loud across the nation. The President of the United States even complained. It's possible that Madden NFL 23 could've gone all season with new refs, without losing any ratings but that's not really the purpose. The universal dislike for the Madden NFL 23 office is a dangerous thing, and if they'd gone another few weeks using replacement refs the result would be some more mishaps, and an even larger loss in credibility. Something like "credibility" may seem like something that isn't important, but to a league that exists on the strength of an antitrust exemption, and teams who advocate for a new stadium that is funded by taxpayers every 15 years, all in support of a company that could be hazardous to the health of its employees... Well, that's right. There is no doubt that Madden NFL 23 could be bulletproof, but that wouldn't be the case if whole country watched the game become something of a show due to the fact that Madden NFL 23 team were unwilling to concede $60.000 to referees. The institutions might make fans powerless however, once you've seen that Madden NFL 23 turned out to be extremely not popular among fans, the criticism of the Madden NFL 23 has become profitable for a variety of other powerful institutions, from ESPN and the White House. Then, it was three weeks! Imagine how loud the protest could have been had this continued throughout the year.
