Peacock is primarily an on-demand streaming service with thousands of TV shows and movies available at your fingertips, and it also streams live TV. Well, sort of: Unlike YouTube TV or Sling TV, Peacocktv.com/tv doesn’t carry live-right-now cable or local channels, but 24/7 loops of content from its library divvied up into dozens of “channels.” Ever used Pluto TV or Sling Free? It’s like that.

Peacock.com/tv  does carry a handful of actual live news and sports channels in its lineup, like NBC News Now, NFL Channel, NBC Sports, Premier League TV, and WWE. The news channels can be viewed on the free version of Peacock, but live sports are available only on Peacock’s paid Premium ($4.99 a month, with ads) or Premium Plus ($9.99 a month, without ads) tiers.
