Standard with and without retainer body design

In all dual plate check valves, the centre pin (where the valve flaps rotate away) and the restrictor bar (to prevent the flaps from colliding with each other) need to be fixed to the body. In the standard body style, the result is a penetration through the body wall. In the retainerless design, the sleeve is inserted inside the body, thus avoiding penetration of the body wall. This makes the non-retentive style valve particularly suitable for critical hydrocarbon and chemical processing applications, or any service involving environmental safety or fire hazards.
