FFXIV is a subscription-based MMO with many ways for players to make Gil. From dungeons to crafting and gathering, there are multiple methods for players to earn a living in Eorzea. Whenever new content is introduced, players can make money by farming it and selling the loot on the market board. This is a simple way to farm and it can be done by any level of player.

Crafting

Gil is a crucial resource in the game that allows players to do many things. With it, you can buy equipment, weapons, and furniture - and pay for services like a Materia melder or repairs.

A good way to make Gil is by selling items on the player Market Board. This is a great way to compete against other players and earn more than them by undercutting their prices. Another way to make Gil is by doing FATEs, especially the ones that come out with new content. These events give a lot of Gil and other rewards, including Grand Company seals and experience.

Finally, you can also make a lot of Gil by doing Beast Tribe quests and crafting items that sell for a high price. This method is not as time consuming as other options, but it still requires some work.

Gathering

For players that are not interested in crafting or dungeon grinding, gathering is another way to make make gil ffxiv. The game's many treasure maps can be a great source of the currency, especially for items that can be sold for high prices, such as Gabriel a Identification Key and Unidentifiable Shells. These can be found by running the corresponding FATEs or by digging up the treasure at a location on the map.

Another great way to gather Gil is by selling minions on the player Market Board. These sell for a good amount of money, and players can find out which ones are most valuable by checking the Market Board regularly.

Unlike subscribed players, Free Trial Players cannot possess more than 300k Gil, and they do not have access to the Market Board or the ability to trade with other players. However, there are still plenty of ways to make money and save up for a house in the game.

Class Quests

A player's Gil is used for a wide variety of things in FFXIV, from food and stat-enhancing ingredients to new gear and furniture. This makes it an extremely valuable resource. In addition, players often want to really make their character stand out from the crowd and can often pay a lot for glamour gear.

In addition to crafting and gathering, players can earn a good amount of Gil by working their class quests. These tend to focus on the Jobs that can gather, like Miner and Botanist, as well as combat Jobs, like Tank and Healer.

Another way to make a steady stream of Gil is through Treasure Maps. These quick, easy-to-reach activities spawn hordes of trash enemies to kill, but also offer a smattering of crafting materials and Materia for a good amount of Gil.
