The aforementioned graphics in NBA2king NBA 2K9 were a welcome boost , as one of the issues that players had with NBA 2K7 was that the animations and models of the players were off the level. This was an issue, but the game excelled in all other areas. Its gameplay was another hit but this also had very well-received elements like Association mode and Street mode.

One cool but small addition was made available on the PlayStation 3, where gamers could shoot free throws replicating the actual motion of shooting. Shaquille O'Neal was the cover athlete for this edition.

NBA 2K7 actually marked the second straight year that Shaq was on the cover. This first happened in NBA 2K6. Allen Iverson and Shaq were the only players to have multiple covers on their own at the time. The praise was extremely high for elements like the soundtrack as well as the presentation and gameplay. There were issues with the control system, and it felt much like the first game. Nothing was done to improve upon it. Even though it's not to be a big deal but the layout of the menus was widely criticized. Some even described them as ugly.

It's possible to say that the greatest player that ever grace the cover of one of these games was Kobe Bryant in NBA 2K10. This was actually a highly important entry in the series due to one major reason. It was the first entry which introduced the MyPlayer mode.

It is still a favorite choice an entire decade later. While the mode wasn't ideal, it was a welcome addition to Buy MT PS4 the franchise. Summer League and sideline reporter Doris Burke were also welcome additions. Unfortunately, there were a few technical problems with the game particularly following its release.
