If there is one place where we need all the peace in the world, it is where we sleep. We do not want to be disturbed there. It is our own private space where we like no interruption. The whole mood of the day depends on how well we slept last night.
Keeping harmony and rhythm inside a place where we spend a lot of quality time is very important. And for this reason, we need to help ourselves with a few tips and tricks to reduce clutter and keep the bedroom organized.
Keep the bedside organized
The most common item we tend to keep near the bed these days are our smartphones. We stay on them until we are really sleepy. Or it could be your iPad or Kindle or some books, mobile charger, and so on. We really want them where we can fetch it easily. But they will look odd when scattered all over the bedside table.
We can either put them in a drawer on our bedside table properly arranged or use some on-table racks which look neat and have enough space to hold them. Such a method will let you wake up to a better-organized bedroom and less clutter when you open your eyes to a new day.
Bedroom benches
Also known as Ottomans, they are normally placed at the foot of the bed. They can act as additional storage for items that otherwise won’t fit anywhere else. They come in different sizes, styles, and materials, and choosing the right one might actually make your bedroom feel better.
Depending on the position and layout of the bedroom they can serve multiple roles.
Under-bed storage drawer
This is a new trend that is taking over bedrooms. They are available online and offline and can be set easily set up. They not only give additional storage space but also a better use of space inside our bedrooms. Make sure to attend them regularly to get rid of dust and possible pests.
We can store a variety of items from clothing to important papers and notes in them. Some of them even come with hidden drawers and a lot of people love that idea. When properly arranged most of them act as if there is no drawer at all.
Nightstand
Do you know it is ok to use a bigger and taller nightstand? Normally they are shorter than the side plank of the bed. Because that is how they are used traditionally. They are meant to be aesthetic, stumpy, and small. We can always use one that is twice the height of the bed with a lot of shelves.
Nighttime essentials can be kept here and some ornamental items too.
Make the closet look right
Try to be more ergonomic with the closet design. The top closets traditionally require us to stretch a bit. Don’t try impractical closet designs and try to keep them at eye level. Do not overuse the space and try to stick to the basics. And also remember to clean it professionally.
