TP-Link routers are one of the best routers available in the market and are widely used for office setup and home Wi-Fi. You can connect as many devices to the router and utilize the service with high internet speed. But sometimes you find TP-Link router keeps disconnecting from internet.  It can happen due to network connection issues or server error. There can be something wrong from the server end. How to fix TP-Link router disconnected?

  • If there is an ISP issue, wait for sometime and contact your service provider. The problem will be fixed shortly.
  • Then, restart the modem and router to see of your connection is regained.
  • If the router has been connected through the LAN connection, make sure that there are no loose wires or plugs at any end.
  • If you are using the WAN connection, keep changing your location until you receive a good signal strength.
  • If you are using Wi-Fi extenders, ensure that the settings are correct and you have entered the correct credentials.
  • You can also use Google public DNS to fix the connection.

If you still face the error, you can reset TP Link extender back to factory default settings. Let’s have a look at how to reset TP link Wi-Fi extender. Your router must have a reset button for this method. It is usually present in all TP link routers.

Steps to reset TP- Link extender:

  • Turn on the TP link range extender.
  • Locate the reset button on the router. It is usually present at the back of the router.
  • Now, press and hold the button on the extender for a few seconds.
  • The router will reboot itself. Release the button thereafter.

The process will set the router back to original configurations and remove any bugs or errors. You can then login through the default credentials to fix the router. The default IP address of TP-Link router is 192.168.0.1 . The username is admin and TP-Link Archer C7 default password is also admin.

Setup steps for TP Link router:

  • Open any web browser in a device connected to the router.
  • Then, type the default IP address 192.168.1.1 in the search bar of the browser.
  • Click on enter and you will be directed to the login page of the router.
  • Enter admin as the username and the word password as the password of the router.
  • Click enter and you will be navigated to the settings of the router.
  • There you can change the username and password of the router. Edit other settings.
  • Click on save to apply the changes.
