WoW Forever is bringing stronger weather effects to certain beta zones in its first major patch. The change responds to player feedback about the lighter rain and snow effects currently seen in the beta. More intense storms can make areas such as Elwynn Forest feel closer to the atmosphere of older WoW versions, where heavy rain, snow, and fog could significantly change how the world looked during exploration. With the beta still limited to level 20, Blizzard has not yet confirmed how widely the enhanced weather system will be used or whether snowstorms and sandstorms will also receive the same treatment.
