Bullfinch Wooden Bird Mikheev is a little family owned company located in Smolensk, in Russia. The owners are Alyona and Vladimir and they create this little wooden world together with their small local team. Coming from a Montessori Background their aim is to create beautiful wooden toys that are handmade and painted. The wood they use is solid Oak, Birch or Ash. Mikheev makes sure their wooden animals are made from wood that is sustainably sourced. The paint they use is water-based and they finish of the wooden toys with acrylic lacquer. The little wooden animals have mostly a matte finish with a slight sheen. Mikheevs wooden toys are created and finished by hand. This means that there will always be some variations when it comes to the shape, the colouring and also the amount of woodgrain or knots showing through the colouring. So no piece is like the other and you can be sure to have you unique wooden animal. The wooden toys are suitable for kids from the age of 3 and older. If the wooden animal needs a clean please be sure to use a slightly wet cloth. Please do not wash it in water as that could cause the water-based paints to fade and wash out.
